Kohgou(香合)is a small, two-piece porcelain container designed to hold a piece of the sacred Hinoki(Japanee cypress)wood plate. When you open the lid, you will see the removable Hinoki wood inside. This Japanese sacred wood has been used since ancient times to build symbolic structures and traditional arts and crafts.
To enjoy, simply apply a few drops of elemense diffuser oil (sold separately) onto the Hinoki plate and allow the soft aroma to spread. Leave the plate inside the Kohgou container without the lid on to enjoy the aromas. Once finished, you can put the lid back on. The lid also makes this container great for travel or on-the-go.
Refill plates are available so that different diffuser oils can be used. it is recommended to use different plates for different oils in order to maintain the maximum effect of the fragrance.
Made of Hasami porcelain, the Kohgou takes on a style originating from Nagasaki, Japan, where artisans have perfected combining tradition and modern design. When you open the lid, you will see the removable Hinoki wood inside. This Japanese sacred wood has been used since ancient times to build symbolic structures and traditional arts and crafts. Kohgou can also used as a container to hold small accessories or used as an incense plate with an incense holder.

*The beauty of pottery and ceramics is that each piece has its own character and charm. No two handmade pieces will be alike. They will be beautifully ‘imperfect’,and uniquely different, with each piece telling the story of the maker and crafting progress.
